The two arms are studied for different jobs. The GLP-1 side is the familiar one: in models it slows how quickly the stomach empties and signals fullness to the brain. The glucagon side is the novel addition — in published models it's associated with higher energy expenditure and with clearing fat out of the liver, rather than acting on appetite alone. That liver angle is why a large part of Survo's research sits in MASH/NASH (fatty-liver disease) on top of obesity.

Because Survo is earlier in the pipeline than the incretin leaders, most of the standout findings come from animal and modeling work, with Phase 2 trials now reporting in both liver disease and weight management. The figures are best read as what researchers observe in these models and early trials rather than proven outcomes — but having human data in two separate disease areas is what keeps it under active scientific attention.

Survo has reached Phase 2 randomized human trials in two separate areas — MASH/NASH fatty-liver disease and weight management — which is unusual for a compound this early in the pipeline. In the liver-disease work, researchers reported improvements in MASH on histology versus placebo, and the weight-management arm reported meaningful body-weight reductions at the higher concentrations studied. It's genuine human data, but still earlier-stage than the incretin leaders.
